In The Beginning Preschool began in 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Richfield. Roger Snyder was an advocate for early learning and was a significant financial contributor to it’s establishment. The school was a wonderful asset to the community, but many children were not able to afford the tuition. Upon Roger’s untimely passing in 2011, the school director Beth Hornberger and then Pastor of St John’s Lutheran Church of Richfield, Andy Weaver approached Roger’s family about having a fund-raiser for the Preschool in honor of Roger’s memory and past support. In April 2012, the first Roger Snyder Memorial 5k was held at Basom Park in Richfield. Since that time the race has evolved to include a 10k, ½ Marathon and Kid’s Fun Run and Roger Snyder Insurance has continued to be a supporter of the annual event. The goal is still to help make sure that ALL children can attend the preschool regardless of financial ability. We here at Roger Snyder Insurance want to thank all those in the community and beyond, who have helped to make this event a success in accomplishing that objective!
